The
Learning Foundation (TLF) and University of Chester are
pleased to announce that people who undertake TLF Module 1 can
claim 15 credits at Postgraduate level for the submission of a
reflective essay, written on the subject of their choice and
relevant to putting the TLF Module into practise.
The
benefit of this approach to accreditation is that each
individual can take this new learning exactly where they need
it to go. This means that they can get the most from their
professional and personal lives and in addition they can have
it recognised within the University system.
The
process is easy to follow. First attend the TLF Module 1.
During this course speak with the tutors (who are also
Associate Tutors of the University of Chester) about what
essay theme you might choose. Write a draft or part of a
draft of your essay and send it to the tutors for feedback.
You can finally submit the essay for marking when you are
happy with it.
Passing the Module means that you will have 15 credits which
you can add to by taking other modules from the University of
Chester (such as modules from their MA Conflict Management &
Transformation Programme, or Leadership Programme or you can
create your own workplace projects and with a tutor set your
own assessments). 60 credits mean you will get a Post
Graduate Certificate, 120 credits a Post Graduate Diploma and
180 credits a Master's Degree.
The
University of Chester use a unique accreditation system that
also allows you to choose the name of your programme of
study. This is all about you and this TLF Module is a great
place to start and the University of Chester will offer
individual support to enable you to get the most out of your
experience.
These
modules can be complementary with other academic and
professional qualifications, e.g. those involved in the
sectors of Legal, Accountancy and Medical/Health, Educational
and Human Resources, via Accredited Prior Certificated
Learning (APCL). In addition, vocational and job experiences
can be integrated via the Accredited Prior Experiential
Learning (APEL).
