I don’t have conflict at home
or at work. Why do I need this training?
It very much depends on one’s
definition of conflict and the varied experiences that people
have around the whole situation. If one accepts a core
definition as being “any two opposing needs at the same time”
then our experience over a range of human situations, both
personal and collective, is that there are very few people who
do not have a clash of needs, either internally or externally,
at some time or other in their daily lives.
Our training addresses this in
a fundamental way on any scale from a tiny internal one, such
as “Gosh, what am I going to wear tonight? (is it going to be
hot, cold, etc?)” right up the scale to “This is my land.”
Anyone who has not experienced this at all, will probably not
need our training.
Isn’t this just another
theoretical course that will make no difference to me as a
person?
Whilst our Courses do have a
philosophical and humanitarian values, the main emphasis is on
practical skills, which if applied regularly can and will make
a difference as we ourselves and others who have taken our
Courses have found out.
Will the courses help me in my
career progression?
If communication and
relationship skills are necessary to your work and important
to you, then “Yes.”
Do I get a recognised
qualification after attending the courses?
We are in the process of
applying for accreditation for our Courses from an English
University. Full details will be available autumn 2005.
I am really enthusiastic about
the concept of conflict resolution for my staff. Can you run
courses at my place of work?
Yes, following a detailed
assessment of the needs and situation of the client.
How long are the courses?
Please see our website under
Training/3 Basic Modules of Transforming and Resolving
Conflict and the last paragraph on “Flexibility”.
How many courses are there each
year?
Currently, we do not have
stand-alone general Courses. To-date all our Courses are
specifically for companies, organisations and individuals
according to need and by arrangement.
How much will it cost me or my
organisation?
Our fees are based upon
standard rates for business, professional and the social
sector, ie public services. They are according to the type,
duration and location of the courses that are agreed with the
client before commitment. Please feel free to contact us to
discuss your needs and we will give you an indication of our
costs.
